8/9/07 Salt Lake City

8/ SOMETHING/ 07
Salt Lake City, Utah

Past few days have been real nice, just relaxing and skating in Salt Lake a lot, we’ve hit a few thrift stores, had some horrible food at Hooters (stockwells killer idea) . My sister has been kind enough to let us crash at her place which is incredibly generous, 8 guys in a 2 bedroom apartment can be a squeeze, and I bet pretty annoying on her end, but she’s been a trooper. Best thing about the apartment she lives in is the hot tub, thing has been a life saver for all of us, especially me! Tonight is the last night in Utah, then we head back to Reno for one last bash in the biggest little city in the world. I think everyone is looking forward to the Imperial which is where we shot pool the first night of the tour, we’ve all been talking about how cool the place was since we left. I think the plan tonight is to go light up these white drop rails down the way from my sisters, it’s a good spot that we tried skating the first night we got into Salt Lake, but I think we were all burnt out from the drive that day, so here we go for round 2. I was talking to the guys last night about how much fun I’ve had on the tour, this is the first time we as able have all got out to chop it up in a long while, and I am honestly sad that it’s gone by so fast. I remember in the beginning I was thinking shit 10 days on the road, that’s a bit of a while, but now that we only have a few days left I am wishing we had more.

8/3/05 – 8/5/05

I am officially a fan of the Colorado Road Trip, I’ve been talking about going for the past 4 years, but honestly something always seemed to come up. Never again will anything come up, I haven’t had that much fun for a long while, next year I suggest that any rollerblader keep their schedule open for the trip. It’s 3 days filled with Skating, Camping, Beer, Bridge Jumping, and more Beer, skating, and beer! What more could a man or woman ask for? Honestly? The parks and people on the trip are great and full of personality. Adam Bender heads the trip, and if that isn’t enough to go then I don’t know what is. I promised Adam that I’ll be on the trip for the next 5 years, and that is one promise I will not break. The trip starts in Silverthorne Colorado, and works west on I-70 stopping at parks, and pools along the way usually ending down around Grand Junction. I am not going to sit and talk you through the entire trip. I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves. Now that the road trip is over we are heading back to my hometown for a few more nights of generator skating for the Able Video. Should be a good time, check for more updates tomorrow! 8/2/07 – 8/3/07

It’s a day late, but none the less here it is. Today was great, I woke up early went and hung out with my dad for a bit then picked up Brandon smith and we went to the coffee shop to do some upates for you able fans. We worked for about an hour, then Cameron Card showed up so he could hang out for the day. I tried my best to convince him to come camping for the weekend, but he is still having horrible headaches, and I bet the change in elevation probably wouldn’t help much so I hinted the entire day, but he never caved! Guys having a hard time getting his head back on straight, but I think he’ll be back to his old self shortly. We skated some rad Salt Lake spots, grabbed some food then met up at Sandy skatepark for the Thursday night skate. It rained a bit earlier in the day so we had to dodge some puddles at the park, but it was still a good time. After we planned on driving straight to Colorado, but everyone was still wanting to skate so we stayed in Salt Lake and lit up some spots with the generator until about 2 in the morning, then we packed up the van and I drove a good 300 miles while the team slept. I stopped at a gas station in Green River this morning and we met up with stockwell, carl sturgess, Jesse McClain, and Marcus Benivides and we all drove together to Veil for the first stop of the Colorado Road Trip. The park was rad, we skated so much, got a lot of clips for the able video and nobody got hurt. Before I go I think we as an industry need to work some sort of fundraiser to help take care of his hospital bill. Camerons shit insurance company dropped him instead of covering his bills, so when we get back to San Fran I am gonna start working a fundraiser to help him out as much as I can. So industry expect an Email from me, and know that if I don’t get a response I am comin after you with the wolves! Stay up, hopefully I can get you more updates tomorrow, ill try my best to find internet out here in cutty colorado! Live.Love Treseder.

8/1/07 Day 2
It’s 7:00 AM in Reno, I am loading up the van, and Vinny is across the street getting the first clip of the day at some square drop off rail.  The guy’s a G I love it, up all early ready to go.   I am still on a starbucks search, and the Van needs a good amount of gas before we head out for Salt Lake.  The first few days of the tour is a lot of driving, we got 500 miles to Salt Lake today, and another 500 to Denver tomorrow if we are gonna meet up on this Colorado Road Trip on time!

So vinny finished handling this drop rail and we were on our way, it was a good 7 hours or so to Salt Lake so we just sat back played some good music and enjoyed the desert ass view all the way to Wendover which is where Victor decided he’d take care of his daily clip.  Cameron Card, and I have seen this rail many times in the past and always talked about how somebody should do it, we honestly said that because I think we thought it couldn’t be done, the things a beast.  First off it’s a good 1 and a half story drop, and it’s a down hill approach to this square rail that is about 6 inches wide that has a nice 1 inch gap in the middle of the rail.  The rail is straight for about 40 feet or so then it takes a nice immediate 90 degree turn at the end.  I was blown away, I watched him jump on it a few times and within 10 minutes he had it in the bag and we were back on the road to my hometown.

It’s always nice being home, we went to my best friends house for some BBQ, drank a few beers and talked about this that and the other.  Great times for sure.  Tomorrow we are going to skate some Utah Spots then meet up with all the Utah bladers for the Thursday night skate at Sandy Skatepark which is always a good time.  After the session we are hopping on the road for a good 489 mile drive to Denver, wish us luck.

2 other things before I go Ivan is 2 for 2 on the stuffed animal winnings, guys a master on the claw stuffed animal machines. Never fails.  He promises to have a stuffed animal for each day of the tour, and Brandon has had 4 cupcakes in the last 5 minutes.

Stay tuned.

7/31/07 Day 1 Able All or Nothing Tour.

Headed north from D-structure in San Fran to Sacramento, I remember rolling up to the Sac Skatepark and seeing it completely empty then opening the door to the van and realizing why. So fuckin hot! We skated for about 30 then we slowly faded so we called it and hopped back in the van so we could get to Reno before the sun went down. Stopped at a few spots along the way, Boreal Ski Resort had all of their Ski Park grind boxes and rails out in their parking lot so we stopped and set up a few things, got a few shots with Smith, turned out to be a good time until the locals started getting tough. Local hicks didn’t seem all that hyped that we were there so we decided to head out to save face, honestly we couldn’t make out all of what he was saying, we just know that he was saying “FUCK” a lot in between every other word. Fourty miles later we were in Reno, got a hotel room and got some food and shot a little pool with Mike Burke and his friends. All and all I think it was a good first day, Vinny, and Ivan are both down 20 bucks on the blackjack tables, actually Ivan is closer to 40 with his haggard ass Prime Rib he decided to get from the Circus Circus buffet, shit was far from Prime Rib! Hahah I was hoping to be undefeated on the Pool Tables this entire trip, but Austin made sure that wasn’t happening! Dudes a Hustler.

Check back tomorrow for more updates, and stories.
